  1. Which qualities or attitudes in the Beatitudes stand out to you? How are they different from what the world values?
  2. What does Jesus mean by "poor in spirit" and those who mourn? Why does He say they are blessed?
  3. How can being gentle or showing mercy show up in your everyday life?
  4. Why does Jesus say that people who want to see justice and do right are blessed? How can you chase after righteousness?
  5. What does it mean to be persecuted for doing what’s right? Why does Jesus say those people are blessed?
  6. Which of these Beatitudes do you find most challenging to live out? Why?  
Action: Pick one Beatitude that speaks to you. Pray and try to live it out in how you treat others this week, trusting that God will help and bless you as you do.
